I think the temporary metallic tattoos fad has died down but because summer is already around the corner, I'm pretty sure that these tats would go viral again. Since getting a permanent tattoo is a big decision to make, most female opt for flash tattoos. And I just found a book that will complete my summer vibes: the Choose Your Own TAT-venture.
If you frequent bookstores, I'm sure you've seen this over the counter or on their magazine stands. I'm honestly not into temporary tattoos but what really caught my interest was that bicycle and love tat! You see, I've always wanted to have a real tat but can't because of my conservative mother and the difficulty of finding a job when you have a tattoo. Thanks to Berry Books for giving me, and the many others, a chance to enjoy cutesy tattoos during summer.
The book contains a gold tattoo sheet, three (3) colored tattoo sheets, two (2) do-it-yourself tattoo sheets, book pages that instructs how to apply and make your own tattoos and some helpful drawing and lettering tips.
Apart from the tattoo designs, what I loved about this book is the motivation it gives to whoever buys it. With the blank pages, we are encouraged to release our creative juices and design our own tats. Creating our own may not be that easy but it at least gives us the chance to insert some personal touch on our tats. You really don't need to be an artist to design... you can either ask someone who is good at doodling or print out the kind of design that speaks of your interest, your hobby or your beliefs... tats that speaks of yourself. But of course, it would be better to still create your own. Wouldn't it feel nice show the world your own art in your skin? :)
I honestly can't wait to use these tattoos on my summer getaways! The first 5 tats I'd be putting on my skin would be the dream-catcher, the live free, the love, the daisies and the little hearts. What would be yours if you own one as well? Here's a quick look on the tats and what's inside the book:
I would love to use the dream catcher and the gold patterns! I'm also a fan of temporary tats to be used for our beach getaways. They are just so pretty under the sun!
