Brother John's Coffee, Bauan

Over the weekend, I went to my dad's province to celebrate my birthday. If I celebrated my birthday last year with friends, this year, I wanted to celebrate it with my family.

Due to the heavy traffic from our place to Batangas City plus the dreadful heat, we chose to just chill out in one of the coffee shops in the Municipality of Bauan known as Brother John's Coffee.

This coffee shop is located at La Paz St. cor Kap. Ponso St. Pob 2 Bauan Batangas. They are just a few minutes walk from  STC and Bauan Parish Church. They open and close at 8:30AM - 10:00PM (Mon-Thu) while 8:00AM - 11:00PM (Fri-Sun). They have free wifi however, they do not have power outlets where you can charge your electronic devices.

As for the staff, they were approachable and helpful though somehow shy.

The coffee shop is not that spacious but it has a decent space enough to fit groups of people. I'm not 100% sure but I think they have extra space upstairs.

The place is air-conditioned and quiet. The ambiance was very cozy and the music being played were very relaxing too. It's an ideal cafe for a morning coffee or an afternoon study.

They only have a few selection of coffee drinks but the basics are there. Unfortunately though, for coffee jelly lovers, you'll be disappointed to find that they do not have that on their menu.

The price of the drinks are decent and worth the price. We ordered Java Chip and Mocha Frappe and they tasted good. My cousins really loved their Java Chip.

Aside from drinks, they also have cakes, a pasta dish and some sandwiches available. We ordered the Red Velvet cake and I tell you, it was so delicious. The cake was very flavorful but not too sweet; just a perfect blend of ingredients. It's a must try when you visit.

Overall, we had a great time chilling out in this cafe and will definitely choose this again for my next hang out dates.

Notes for you to remember:
  • They only accept cash payments.
  • They have parking spaces but limited.
  • There are no power outlets near the seats.
  • They have free wifi for customers. Just approach the counter for the password.
  • Operating hours: (Mon-Thu) 8:30 am - 10:00 pm and (Fri-Sun) 8:00 am - 11:00 pm.
  • Aside from coffee drinks, they have pasta, cakes and sandwiches available.
You can Like them in Facebook for their upcoming promos. I don't think they have a Twitter or Instagram account yet so I suggest you use the hashtag #BrotherJohnsCoffee when you post something about them. ;)

Simply pretty

Honestly, I don't know how to describe my outfit last Friday. I wore this top I bought from a thrift store in Papua New Guinea. It was the Jajay's top from this post  while pairing it with my LeDonne pastel pink flats, my BNY jeans and my Sophie Martin bag. To finish up the girly look, I wore my i2i shades. I felt pretty that day. Simple but pretty. :p
