The Liebster Award Tag 2015

The Liebster Award is basically an award given by a blogger to a fellow blogger. This blog tag helps us discover new blogs, encourages us to interact and build a community where we can all learn from one another.

I was very happy and thankful that Cess, tagged me. This would be a great opportunity to know more about the bloggers I come across with in various Facebook groups and also a chance for me to share a little more about myself.

The rules are simple:
        1) Thank the person who nominated you for the award.
        2) Answer the 11 questions made by the nominator.
        3) Nominate 11 bloggers.
        4) Create 11 questions for your 11 chosen bloggers.
        5) Notify them so through social media.

So let's begin! Here are the questions from Cess Piano's tag.

1. What is your most embarrassing moment?

The most embarrassing moment I had so far is having period stain on my jeans and onto my friend's car seat. It was my birthday party and because I was so drunk, I didn't notice that I had stains on my jeans already. We went out to drop some friends home. When he dropped me off, I was too drunk to notice my jeans. I went straight to the bathroom to take a shower and went straight to bed after. He only mentioned it to me the next day. I really didn't know how to respond. It was so embarrassing!

2. If you had to describe yourself using three words, it would be...

I hate being asked this because seriously, I find it really hard to describe myself. After careful thinking for the past few days... I realize the three best words to describe me would be sensitive, low-maintenance and loving.

3. If you won a lottery ticket and had a million dollars, what would you do with it?

A million dollars would be a lot of money to just spend on shopping. So I'm splitting that huge money this way:

I. Support a charity

This foundation takes care of infants that were abandoned by their mothers. Being an unica ija, I know how sad it is to be growing alone. I can't imagine these babies growing up alone not because they don't have a brother or sister but because they were left by their parents.

I've always wanted to support them since as we all know, baby needs are costly nowadays.

II. Start these businesses

Ever since I was a child, I really wanted to have a photo studio. It's a big investment and if I do win this huge amount of money, this would be the business I would put up first. Next would be a fashion or lifestyle store where I can fully practice my profession.

III. Build an animal facility

I was brought up to care and love animals. Whenever I see dead animals on the street or even watch from TV the unfortunate incidents animals get, it breaks my heart. I want to put up a facility like PAWS where I, together with volunteers, can rescue, and provide shelter to neglected animals across my city and then hopefully, across the country.

IV. Treat parents to a local and international trip.

My parents have been working all their life to provide for me and our family. They have been so busy giving our needs and wants that they forgot to save some for themselves. I want to treat them on local and international trips so they can relax and see the beauty of the world.

V. House renovation

Just like the above, since they are too busy providing for us, they don't get to save up for the renovation of our home. This would be a great way to return all the support my parents have given me. This would be a great way to return the hard work.

4. If you could transport yourself anywhere instantly, where would you go and why?

I have always wanted to go to Africa. If only I have the resources to go there and help those in need, I would; especially the children. I want to volunteer to help these kids get a bright future. I want to help their mothers by helping them find their skills which they can use to earn some money. I want to help Africa because they really need our help.

5. In your opinion, which animal is the best (or most beautiful) and why?

I'm a cat lover too but for me, dogs are the most beautiful because they are loyal and really sweet towards their owners; unlike cats which are mostly and usually stubborn. Don't get more wrong, cats are also beautiful and so are other animals. But there are just qualities or characteristics with dogs that I love more than the others.

6. Growing up, what were your favorite toys to play with as a child?

I grew up alone. I'm usually not allowed to play outside. I was spoiled by my grandmother. She told me she'll buy me anything I want as long as I stay at home and play rather than playing outside with other kids. So I end up having almost all the toys I want. And my favorite was the dollhouses. I just love decorating the house with furniture and other odd things. Haha! Even though I had to play on my own most of the time, I still enjoyed playing those toys. And even now that I'm a full grown woman, whenever I see those toys in mall, it still attracts me. Haha!

7. Live under water and swim with the fish, or be able to travel through space and touch the stars?

I'm a beach bum so I'll choose to live under water and swim with the fish. I don't know why but I just really find comfort from beaches and the creatures within it. If only I was fit enough to do diving, I would always go underwater and explore the ocean bed.

8. If you were mayor for the day, what three things would you change about your city?

1. Build CCTV on strategic corners of the city to lessen crime. In relation to this, there will be people hired to watch over the CCTV to be able to report right away and capture the criminals. Eventually, it will improve the security and safety of the city.

2. Build a library with wifi, but social media accounts are restricted. Any resident of the city can read a book, study and use the library for educational purposes.

3. Build an animal facility where stray animals will be sheltered and taken care of. The animals will also be open for adoption; not for sale.

9. What do you consider your greatest achievement?

The greatest achievement so far is graduating from college. Many people looked down on me saying I will never get to climb up a university's stage wearing an academic gown. I remember I took this shot and posted in my Facebook page while I was in line to tell everyone how I did what they thought I couldn't do. It's one of my proudest moments.

10. Be invincible or be able to read minds?

Most of my closest friends know how I love to stare at people. I do this to somehow see or know, through their gestures, what they are thinking or planning to do. I want to be able to read minds because I believe that if I have this ability, I can help prevent crimes and other dangerous acts of humanity.

11. Visit the world 100 years into the past or 100 years into the future?

I'd rather visit the future than the past simply because I know I'll never get the chance to see it. More likely, I'll be dead by the time I reach my senior years so it would be a great pleasure to know what kind of world the next generations would have.

Thank you again Cess for the questions! It not only allowed me to share who I am to my readers, it also allowed me to know myself. I had a great time reminiscing past memories I used to answer to some of the questions.

Now, it's my turn to ask. Here are the questions I would like those I will nominate below to answer. You may easily save the photo or download the WordPad version here.

If you're done with the questions, do not forget to add your link below (kindly wait for InLinkz "Add Link" button to appear) so other blog visitors and readers can also check your entries.

Simply pretty

Honestly, I don't know how to describe my outfit last Friday. I wore this top I bought from a thrift store in Papua New Guinea. It was the Jajay's top from this post  while pairing it with my LeDonne pastel pink flats, my BNY jeans and my Sophie Martin bag. To finish up the girly look, I wore my i2i shades. I felt pretty that day. Simple but pretty. :p
