#YouBlogYou Volume One

I recently created a blog series which will be called YOU BLOG YOU. You know how the phrase "You Do You" means you do your thing? That's almost the same as saying You Blog You: you blog about yourself as a blogger. So how will this go? You can know more about this here.
◢ #YouBlogYou Volume One ◣

1. What inspired you to blog?

I know that somehow, someone is reading or at least searching for a content that will bring him or her in this blog. And the thought of inspiring or informing others was really what inspired me to blog.

2. When did you start blogging?

I started blogging way back 2006 using this platform, Blogger. Most of the posts of that blog was about my personal life and my poems. I became busy with my last year of high school and eventually lost the email and password. So I made a new one via Multiply but when they took down the site, I had to move to Tumblr. Again, most of the posts are personal. I only began posting seriously and, we can say, professionally recently.

3. What's the topic you enjoy blogging the most?

I really enjoy blogging about events. I think I inherited my dad's social skills. I, too, love meeting people and just enjoying the time in parties or other events.

4. How long does it usually take you to finish a blog post?

It actually depends on what topic but for the best of the best posts, it can take me 24 to 48 hours. I write down keywords then carefully plan out how to put all information together.

5. If you were to name three (3) goals you want your blog to achieve next year, what would it be?

             1. Hit 200,000 blog views.
             2. Start earning from ads.
             3. Be a brand ambassador.

6. Does your family know about your blogging career? Why or why not?

Yes. My family and friends are well aware of my blogging career. I get most of my support from them. And I believe its very important that you get that kind of support from the people closest to you before anyone else because they know you more and they will help promote you and your blog to their own circle of friends and/or network.

7. Which blog or blogger inspires you the most?

The blogger that continuously inspires me is Ava of www.artsyfartsyava.com. Honestly, she inspires me with a lot of things especially about art! She's naturally charming and very genuine. And I felt that when I first met her back in Blogger's United V. I look forward to seeing and talking to her in the next blogger events.

8. What is the greatest achievement your blog has received? If you haven't got any, what would be the achievement you'd want to receive?

The greatest achievement so far is when I won an iPad Mini from FoodPanda. It was my first blog contest and I won so it's very memorable. You may check my other blog achievements here.

9. What is your best viewed post? Share it with us by providing a hyperlink and a short description about it.

Before, a few months back, the best or most viewed post (of all time) was "Why You Should Watch #HeneralLuna" but this month, the most viewed post is "Pocket Wifi: Globe vs. Smart".

I think the reason why it's being viewed a lot now is because many consumers are looking for reviews regarding pocket wifi. I'm happy that many are viewing the post. I just hope I helped them, through that simple post, how to choose the best gadget for them.

10. If you were to give out three (3) advises for newbie bloggers, what would it be?

             1. Focus on providing content than focusing on getting freebies from companies. That
opportunity will follow once they see your potential.
             2. Learn and practice visual marketing. Graphics or photographs really attract people so in
order for readers to take notice of your great content, produce a great graphics.
             3. Be professional even if you're just starting. As early as now, you must be professional
not only in your posts but also by the way you respond to blog invitations and comments.

11. If you were to give out three (3) advises for yourself as a blogger, what would it be?

             1. Improve blog scheduling. I seriously need to improve the way I post articles because as
you can see from my homepage, similar topics are being posted closely to each other.
             2. Promote posts more. I don't really get to promote my posts online. I need to put extra
effort now to achieve the 200,000 hits goal.
             3. Improve English skills. I don't deny that my English is bad and I have so many
grammatical errors. I need to improve this so my posts would be more enjoyable to read.

Simply pretty

Honestly, I don't know how to describe my outfit last Friday. I wore this top I bought from a thrift store in Papua New Guinea. It was the Jajay's top from this post  while pairing it with my LeDonne pastel pink flats, my BNY jeans and my Sophie Martin bag. To finish up the girly look, I wore my i2i shades. I felt pretty that day. Simple but pretty. :p
